Jimmy Key Arena Re-roof - $80.000.00

The design challenge for Aegis Building Sciences on this project was to design a roof system that was lightweight, durable and most important, not endanger the building with a thermally installed roof system. The solution was to specify a cold applied modified bitumen system. As no open flame torches were used in the installation of the roof system there was no threat to the highly combustible structure.

CANADIAN FORCES BASE BORDEN

Performed major roof survey including infrared scan to reveal areas of moisture containing insulation. Survey revealed a dangerously overloaded roof system. Report contained list of recommended repairs and budgetary costs for executing repairs and replacement. All information presented in INFOROOF format including hard copy and digital copy.

OSHAWA RE-ROOF $421,000

This major reroofing project involved the removal of the existing roof system and replacement while the facility remained in operation. The roofing solution as proposed by Aegis Building Sciences was install a modified bitumen roofing system that did not use hot asphalt and its associated fumes. The modified bitumen system utilized a self adhesive base sheet and a torched applied cap sheet. This technology resulted in a durable roof system that did not disrupt the operation of the bidding during installation.

This major reroofing project involved the removal of the existing roof system and installation of a new roof system. The project was executed during the winter months and a high quality installation with an extended warranty was delivered.
